Sometimes, you just need a dose of radioactive nostalgia. Lakeshore Records’ latest vinyl takes listeners to the Wasteland, with 12 tracks featured in Amazon Prime’s Fallout series titled “The Soothing Sounds of the Apocalypse.”
The record features 12 nostalgic tracks. Side A includes “Orange Colored Sky” by Nat King Cole and Stan Kenton, “Don’t Let the Stars Get in Your Eyes” by Perry Como, “Some Enchanted Evening” by The Castells, “Act Naturally” by Buck Owens, “So Doggone Lonesome” by Johnny Cash, and “I Don’t Want To See Tomorrow” by Nat King Cole.
The second side of the vinyl includes “Keep That Coffee Hot” by Scatman Crothers, “Maybe” by The Ink Spots and Ella Fitzgerald, “Into Each Life Some Rain Must Fall” and “Let’s Go Sunning” by Jack Shaindlin, “Crawl Out Through The Fallout” by Sheldon Allman, and “I Don’t Want To Set the World on Fire” by The Ink Spots.
While we can’t confirm that the apocalypse itself is soothing, we can assure you that the retro-style packaging featuring Vault Boy is easy on the eyes. This vinyl is available for preorder now and is expected to come out on Dec. 6.
