Quick — to the Batmobile!
Batman fans can showcase their love for the superhero and his Bat-tools with Fanhome’s Batmobile Build-Up Model Subscription. The car is based on the Batmobile seen in the 1960s TV series, but the subscription also highlights other Batman shows, movies, and comics.
Fanhome designers studied the original car, the custom 1955 Lincoln Futura, and the TV show to produce an accurate replica. Subscribers can build the model with painted, ready-to-assemble parts from each monthly shipment.
The first monthly package includes two assembly stages, the second and third month shipments each contain three assembly stages, and the following months include six assembly stages. The Batmobile model will be complete after a whopping 120 assembly stages.
The 1:8-scale Batmobile is more than 2-feet long when completed and features several Bat-gadgets, including the Bat-phone, Bat-scope, and emergency turn lever.
The iconic Bat-shaped steering wheel is functional and turns the wheels, and the doors, hood, and trunk panels also open. The model feels like the real thing with LED effects for the siren lights, headlights, and taillights and an illuminated afterburner accented with jet sound effects.
During the subscription, collectors can follow Batman’s story year-by-year through DC’s comics, TV series, animated specials, and feature films with special full-color magazines included in each monthly shipment. You can dive into Batman’s origins with an illustrated review of the comics and graphic novels and meet characters from the 1960’s Batman TV series through a show-by-show guide to all 120 episodes.
Subscribers will also receive exclusive gifts with their shipments, like a 1:43-scale die-cast miniature of the Batmobile, a trio of colored, posters, a baseball hat, a ceramic mug, a Batmobile metal license plate replica, and a binder for magazine archival.
DC fans can preorder the subscription now for $1.95 and expect some gotham goodies next month. The first assembly stage is $1.95, the second and third are free, and each following stage is $13.99.
