Marvel wasn’t kidding about the Endgame spoilers ban lifting today.
The first official Spider-Man: Far From Home Trailer hit the internet this morning, and it’s basically one giant spoiler for the Avengers blockbuster. Tom Holland even gives a warning message at the start, telling fans not to watch if they haven’t seen Endgame yet.

The new trailer follows our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man as he deals with the recent death of his mentor-slash-father-figure, Tony Stark. And, clocking in at nearly three minutes, the trailer covers a lot of ground.
Peter Parker, as we already knew from the movie’s teaser trailer, is headed abroad on a trip with his school friends. As he prepares to leave, he starts receiving calls from none other than Nick Fury. Much to Happy Hogan’s dismay, Peter has no interest in taking those calls.
Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Agent Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) finally catch up with Parker abroad, introducing him to “Mr. Beck” (Jake Gyllenhaal). Beck, Fury explains, is a hero from another version of Earth. Apparently, the snap (unclear if that refers to the snap from Thanos, Banner, or Stark) ripped a hole in the multi-verse that allowed Beck to travel between realities. However, anyone familiar with the world of Marvel comics knows things may not be quite as they seem: Mysterio is a notorious villain from the Marvel Universe, known as a master of illusion.
It’s time for Parker to step up and decide if he’s ready to be the hero Earth needs after losing Iron Man. And Parker does not seem ready. “There’s got to be someone else you can use,” he pleads to Fury. “What about Thor? Captain Marvel? I’m just a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.” This prompts what may be Jackson’s best line in the entire MCU: “Bitch, please. You’ve been to space.”
Plus, on top of figuring out his place in the superhero world, Peter is still a high school kid trying to impress his crush, MJ (Zendaya), who seems to have figured out his big spidey-secret.
Overall, Far From Home looks like an emotional end to Phase Three and a solid first look at a post-Avengers MCU — and we’re here for it.
