The latest pop-culture staple to get the tabletop treatment from Funko Games is the 1954 classic Rear Window. This summer, murder mystery fans can channel their inner Hitchcock for this game of deduction. In the game, one player assumes the role of Hitchcock. That player (“The Director”) must communicate with the other players using clues and signs but no words. The Director is trying to help the other players figure out who the murderer is… or if there was a murder at all.
As different “days” pass within the game, the non-director players must observe the clues and patterns through the windows of apartments. They have to decide if things like parties, knives, bickering, or a mysterious trunk indicate nefarious activity or just the everyday private lives of strangers. The game also features the likenesses of Hollywood icons from Rear Window, including Jimmy Stewart (L.B. “Jeff” Jeffries) and Grace Kelly (Linda Carol Fremont).
The cooperative game will be available this summer. It’s designed for 3-5 players and will cost $34.99.
