Build Your Dream Marvel Collection — Digitally and Physically

Step over, Avengers. There’s a new Marvel team-up in town.

VeVe — a digital collection platform — and Funko have partnered with the comic book giant so fans can build their digital and physical collections at the same time. Marvel lovers can add an 18-inch Funko Gold Iron Man figure to their display cases, and then register a matching digital collectible figure on the VeVe platform. 

The Iron Man figure is the first Marvel figure in Funko’s Gold premium vinyl collectible line (a fact that Tony Stark would love). That being said, the figure is limited to 3,000 pieces. 

The collection includes variants of different colors, paying tribute to the character’s comic book history. There are five different suits available, and each variant has the same signature Tony Stark facial hair. The figures do not feature Iron Man’s helmet. 

Fans can display Iron Man in his classic red-and-gold suit, a look that most Marvel fans will recognize. Another figure features a completely gold suit, an homage to the golden armor suit that debuted in “Tales of Suspense No. 40,” with a release dating back to the ‘60s. The third figure that fans could receive showcases Iron Man in an all-silver suit.

A silver-and-black suit appeared as a cameo in “Avengers Vol. 5 No. 32” — with a full appearance in “Superior Iron Man Vol. 1 No.1″ — and it could appear on your shelf and in your digital collection. Finally, Marvel fans could also unbox Iron Man in the black-and-gold suit with a red arc reactor seen in “Iron Man No. 1,” published in 2012. 

The individually stickered surprise boxes also include a redemption code. After using the code, you’ll receive a free digital collectible NFT, similar to the physical figure, for your VeVe collection. 

Iron Man collectors can display their digital figures for other collectors through customizable virtual showrooms on the VeVe app. You can also trade your figure and use the augmented reality photo mode to interact with your digital collectible in 3D. 

Collectors can order their Iron Man figure next month. Until then, you can start hoping that you unbox your favorite suit. As Stan Lee said, the greatest superpower is luck!
