Funko London Toy Fair 2020

Funko fans have a lot to look forward to this year!

The “purveyors of pop culture” rolled into London Toy Fair to drop the curtain on their first major round of product reveals for the new year, and as always — there is something for everyone. The fandom-spanning assortment runs the gamut across TV, film, sports, and beyond. Appropriately, Funko embraced European sporting culture to kick things off with new Pop! Vinyls featuring players from the European Football League. Other reveals include characters from Harry Potter, Star Wars, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, the Batman films of Tim Burton and Joel Schumacher, Cyberpunk 2077, the cult hit The Craft, Killer Klowns from Outer Space, SpongeBob SquarePants, The Great Mouse Detective, and many more.

Empire Strikes Back Funko

Funko celebrates the 40th anniversary of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back with a full range of new Pop! Vinyls that reflect scenes on Hoth, Dagobah, Bespin, and even Darth Vader’s Star Destroyer! Reenact the famous “I love you”/”I know” moment between Han and Leia; make Luke run, run, run, jump with Yoda as his backpack while he runs; or see Lord Vader as he gets rudely interrupted.

On March 6, Disney•Pixar’s Onward will invite audiences to follow along on an epic quest that begins in a suburban fantasy world where magic may still exist. Of course, all of the fantastic scenarios lend themselves to a variety of new figures including teenage elf brothers, Ian and Barley Lightfoot (voiced by Tom Holland and Chris Pratt), unicorns that eat garbage like raccoons, and what might be half the spirit of the brothers’ long lost dad. Amazon and Hot Topic are serving up some exclusives.

Dou you like Huey Lewis and the News? They really came into their own in 1983 when Sports came out. You know who else likes Huey? Patrick Bateman (Christian Bale) from filmmaker Mary Harron’s American Psycho. Crank up “Hip to be Square” from the 1987 album, Fore! and display these fine Pop! Vinyls in your home or office. I will.

Harry Potter

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter continues to expand in Pop! Vinyl form with new figures depicting famous scenes from the tale of “the boy who lived.” Dumbledore with Baby Harry? Ron throwing up slugs? How about Draco with a spider on his face? Funko has you covered.

Hobbs & Shaw

Hobbs and Shaw established that the Fast & Furious franchise could extend beyond the typical scope of the core films. Fans have been waiting to get their hands on some collectibles from the film, and now Funko delivers.

If your style leans toward Gotham City, the question turns to “what era?” New Bat-tastic offerings include Jack Nicholson’s Joker from Tim Burton’s Batman (1989), along with Penguin and Catwoman from Batman Returns (1992),  Two-Face and The Riddler from Batman Forever (1995), and Poison Ivy and Mr. Freeze from Batman & Robin (1997). As a bonus, Funko will issue a 10-inch Jumbo Pop! version of Heath Ledger’s Joker from Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight (2008).

Funko MOTU

It’s shaping up to be a BIG year for Mattel’s He-Man and the Masters of the Universe franchise. Now, Funko revisits the license for a new assortment of figures including some based on the 1980s Filmation cartoon series. The next wave includes fresh takes on He-Man and Skeletor alongside fan-favorite characters such as the Sorceress and Tung Lashor, and cult icons such as Sy Klone and Mosquitor. Do you have the power? With this collection, you will!

Funko Pop Rocks!

If music is your bag, you’re gonna want to see the incredible new additions to Funko’s Pop! Rocks lineup. Tom Araya, the late Jeff Hanneman, and Kerry King of thrash titans Slayer are in the mix (don’t do Dave Lombardo wrong, guys – get him in the mix!), while Lil Wayne, Rivers Cuomo of Weezer, Eazy-E, Willie Nelson, ZZ Top, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith, Salt N Peppa, James Brown, Papa Nihil of Ghost, Shania Twain, Corey Taylor, Sid Wilson, and Craig Jones of Slipknot, and a new version of Motorhead’s Lemmy could all be headed for your shelves this year.

Additional late-breaking reveals include Pop! Vinyl figures based on Disney’s Adventures of the Gummi Bears, The Legend of Korra, Fantasy Island, Murder, She Wrote, Wallace & Gromit, ABC’s Dinosaurs, Star Trek Discovery, Creepshow, and more.

Entertainment Earth (EE) is already taking preorders for many of the new items, with more being added to this page throughout London Toy Fair.
