Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights are taking fright to a whole new level as they embrace the post-apocalyptic world from the critically acclaimed video game The Last of Us. With this year marking the game’s 10th anniversary, Universal Studios invites fans to survive the night as they explore a haunted house inspired by the game’s infected, treacherous world.
The haunted house experience begins on Friday, Sept. 1, at Universal Orlando Resort and on Thursday, Sept. 7, at Universal Studios Hollywood. The experience will be available on select dates through Tuesday, Oct. 31.
In this haunting, ravaged world, you and your squad must escape the Pittsburgh Quarantine Zone, which will include locations such as The Hotel Grand and labyrinths of tunnels based on the game. Guests will follow the trail of Joel and Ellie as they encounter threats from Runners, Stalkers, Clickers, and more.
Halloween Horror Nights tickets are available now for both Universal Studios locations. Single-night tickets for general admission start at $74 at Universal Studios Hollywood and $79 for Universal Orlando Resort.
Universal Studios offers various ticket options for all horror enthusiasts. Universal Orlando Resort guests can purchase upgradable tickets like the R.I.P. Tour, Express Pass, and Behind the Screams: Unmasking the Horror Tour. Universal Studios Hollywood offers Universal Express, After 2 P.M. Day/Night, R.I.P. Tour, and early access tickets.
Frequent Fear and Ultimate Fear passes are also available for guests to purchase. These are the only tickets that let visitors experience the Halloween Horror Nights event as much as they’d like. Frequent Fear passes allow general admission for up to 30 nights, while Ultimate Fear passes apply to all event nights. Frequent Fear and Ultimate Fear passes are now available for Universal Studios Hollywood but will be available soon for Universal Orlando Resort. Tickets also include access to a variety of other haunted houses and spooky experiences at the park.
To be part of the Halloween Horror Nights experience, Universal Studios highly recommends that all guests be ages 13 or up. Visitors ages 18 and older must present a photo ID for security and authentification purposes, while parental supervision is recommended but not required for guests under the age of 18.
