Hasbro’s HasLab crowdfunding platform has been very busy over the past few months, as three different projects vied for fan financial support at the same time after debuting at Hasbro’s PulseCon fan event.

Now, two of those projects — the G.I. Joe Skystriker and the Star Wars: The Black Series Rancor — have come to a close, but with opposing results.

The Black Series Rancor, which was set to be a 17.5-inch-tall version of the creature from Return of the Jedi, was open for funding until Monday, Dec. 6. Ultimately, it only gathered 8,533 of the 9,000 backers required to fund the project. While some fans hoped the project would move ahead after falling less than 500 backers short, Hasbro released a statement yesterday confirming that the Rancor would not go into production.

The next project to complete its funding window was the G.I. Joe Skystriker, which needed 10,000 backers by 11:59 p.m. ET yesterday, Dec. 7. While the project was still short of its goal as of yesterday morning, the jet ultimately sailed past the funding threshold before midnight, ending up with 16,783 backers. This means that fans also unlocked a few of the project’s stretch goals, including a Scarlett O-Ring action figure in flight suit and a Rip Cord O-Ring action figure in Night Force colors. Now that it has been fully funded, the Skystriker is expected to ship in the spring of 2023.

The third HasLab project to come out of PulseCon was the Ghostbusters Plasma Series Spengler’s Proton Pack, which is still open for funding through this Sunday, Dec. 12. That campaign has already smashed its funding goal, nearly doubling its 7,000-backer target as of Dec. 8.

Fans can head to the Hasbro Pulse website to back the Proton Pack, learn more about the Skystriker, and take a look at other completed HasLab projects.
