Hellboy is back, and he’s on fire. In this new film based on Mike Mignola’s series, we see the legendary half-demon superhero (David Harbour, Stranger Things) venture to the English countryside to battle a trio of rampaging giants.
There, he discovers a centuries-old sorceress named Nimue (Milla Jovovich). Known as the Blood Queen, Nimue is thirsty for revenge for a past betrayal. Hellboy finds himself unexpectedly caught in a clash between the supernatural and the human, and now he’s hell-bent on stopping Nimue. There’s just one hitch: He has to do it without triggering the end of the world. No biggie.
The trailer promises the same irreverent humor we’ve come to expect (and love) from Hellboy, including him trying to gently spurn some unwanted love interest from Nimue. Take a look below!
Hellboy also features Ian McShane (John Wick), Daniel Dae Kim (Hawaii Five-0 and Lost), and Sasha Lane (American Honey). The movie is set to release on April 12.
