Return to the runway and find your favorite fandoms at the 11th annual Her Universe Fashion Show, presented by Universal Pictures. During the first day of Comic-Con International: San Diego (SDCC), you can watch designers unveil their unique creations to the show’s largest audience from the Seaport Ballroom at the Manchester Grand Hyatt.
This year, Her Universe founder Ashley Eckstein and Broadway star Michael James Scott are hosting the runway and a new podcast. Before watching the latest fashion-forward looks, listen to HypeFriend! to experience weekly episodes about friendships. Fans can also see more of the duo at the Her Universe Fashion Show After Party, set for Friday, July 25, at 10 a.m. at the San Diego Central Library’s Neil Morgan Auditorium.Â
Nobody in all of Oz is ever gonna bring these designers down. With the theme ‘Defying Fashion: Fashion That Defies Expectations,’ the 25 selected finalists will debut their designs inspired by popular Universal Pictures franchises. On the runway, fans can view looks inspired by fandoms like Wicked, Jurassic World, How to Train Your Dragon, Trolls, and Universal Monsters.

This year’s fashion show will choose two winners, who will receive the grand prize of designing an apparel collection with Her Universe. The audience will select one winner, and a panel of judges will choose the other. While the event is opening to the public, fashion enthusiasts must obtain a wristband (first come, first serve) at 10 a.m. PT on July 24 at the Seaport Ballroom Foyer.
