The Super Mario Bros. Movie broke all sorts of box office records this weekend, offering a fun movie that celebrates decades of an Italian plumber’s grand adventures. Now, you can jam out to the movie’s soundtrack while you play your favorite Super Mario Bros. video game.
The movie soundtrack, including Bowser’s song “Peaches,” is currently streaming on Apple Music, Spotify, and other music platforms, but iam8bit is collaborating with Nintendo, Illumination, and Universal Pictures to make physical copies of the album.
The soundtrack features 36 songs composed by Brian Tyler in collaboration with Nintendo’s Koji Kondo. There are multiple ways to get your fix of Mario music, including a red-and-green LP duo, an iam8bit-exclusive pink-and-yellow vinyl duo, or a two-disk CD set. If you’re looking for a more retro experience, you can even listen on a red or green cassette tape. You can also listen to “Peaches” on the 7-inch vinyl single, which has the “Mario Brothers Rap” on the B-side. The physical editions of the soundtrack are all currently available for preorder and are expected to ship later this year.
Whether you’re listening to The Super Mario Bros. Movie soundtrack on your phone or the record player. You’ll be transported right into the movie theater, watching Mario and Luigi take on Goombas, Bob-ombs, and Bowser!
