A new book series from Insight Editions teaches kids the most important things: time, opposites, and how to become a geek at an early age.
The PlayPop series introduce new concepts and new fandoms at the same time. In Back to the Future: Telling Time with Marty McFly, kids help Marty through the day by turning the die-cut wheel in the cover and then lifting the flaps located throughout the book to see where Marty should actually be. Kids will learn about telling time in both analog and digital formats, meaning they can always know what time it is, no matter where — or when — they are.
The other newest colorfully illustrated book is based on Jim Henson’s world of Thra. The Dark Crystal: Book of Opposites helps kids unravel the mysteries of opposites by pointing out the differences between the kind Gelflings and the evil Skeksis. The series’ characters Jen and Kira, along with their friends will help kids learn concepts like fast and slow, light and dark, and big and small through touch and feel elements.
Each book is $9.99 and will be ready to take kids to new worlds on Oct. 20. Other fandom-fueled books in the series include E.T.’s First Words and Ghostbusters: 1 to 10 Slimer’s Loose Again.
