We’re going to need a bigger boat. Jaws is headed back to theaters this summer for its 50th anniversary, and it’s bringing new events, exhibits, and merchandise with it!
The celebration will kick off in April with a special edition screening of Spielberg’s 1975 blockbuster at the TCM Classic Film Festival. Afterward, fans can relive the nail-biting, jaw-dropping action in movie theaters across the U.S. — even out in the open water!
This summer, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema invites fans to experience the seaside thriller like never before. Starting Memorial Day weekend, select theaters will host a Jaws Movie Party, complete with limited-edition popcorn buckets, props, special menus, and exclusive merchandise. The bravest fans can take their screening out to the sea with special Jaws on the Water viewings on Lake Travis in Austin, TX.

For those who prefer to visit Amity Island from their couch, the entire Jaws saga will be available to stream starting June 15 on Peacock, including Jaws 2, Jaws 3D, and Jaws: The Revenge. Fans can also reel in a 50th-anniversary edition of the film, featuring never-before-seen bonus content, on DVD and digital later this summer.
In honor of the film’s historic impact, the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures will open a massive exhibit dedicated to the making of Jaws. Visitors immerse themselves in scenes from the film with over 200 original objects, concept art, costumes, and props, including the only surviving shark model from the production. Jaws: The Exhibition will open Sept. 14, and tickets are now available online.
