If you’re an avid listener of Travis and Jason Kelce’s podcast, “New Heights,” you’ll know that last year, they told the world that their three favorite cereals are Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Lucky Charms, and Reese’s Puffs. In a move that will be shocking to many, especially those who can’t imagine mixing foods, General Mills is launching the Kelce Mix, a cereal that combines all three flavor profiles into one box.
To prepare for their new job off of the field, Jason and Travis went to Cereal Training Camp, competing in epic cereal challenges to earn the chance to make the Kelce Mix.
“I take my cereal game seriously, and thank goodness because Cereal Training Camp was no joke,” said Jason Kelce, Kelce Mix co-creator. “The only thing Travis and I know more about than football is cereal — so we’re honored to take home the victory and consider ourselves officially inducted into cereal culture with Kelce Mix.”
The duo will also be featured on special Kelce’s Pick boxes of Honey Nut Cheerios, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Lucky Charms, and Reese’s Puffs cereal. You can grab these boxes if you love the Kelce brothers but can’t imagine mixing your cereals.
“I’ve said that I’d eat a whole box of Reese’s Puffs cereal in one sitting, and while I stand by that, our creation might just be the new MVP of the cereal aisle,” said Travis Kelce, Kelce Mix co-creator. “We’d go through two to three boxes of our favorite cereals a week when we were growing up, so being able to team up with General Mills now is a full circle moment for us.”
The Kelce Mix cereal and Kelces’ Pick boxes will be available at retailers nationwide starting in mid-September and a limited-edition, walmart.com exclusive box will be available starting Sept. 28 while supplies last. Until then, we’ll just have to make do with our normal morning cereal.
