Director Tim Story cast Kevin Hart in the upcoming Monopoly movie as he gears up for production. The Lionsgate and Hasbro feature film is in its final round of negotiations.

Hart, along with John Cheng and Carli Haney, will produce the movie under Hart’s HartBeat Productions. Co-producers of the board game-inspired movie include Story and Sharla Sumpter Bridgett from The Story Co. as well as Brian Goldner, Stephen Davis, and Greg Mooradian from Allspark Pictures, a film division of Hasbro. The producers have not released an official summary, a screenwriter, or the shoot date.

Hasbro was trying to pass “Go” on the project for almost 10 years. Original versions of the synopsis tell the story of a young man from the game’s Baltic Avenue looking to strike it rich as a property tycoon, NME reported.

Monopoly will be the most recent project from Hart and Story. They previously collaborated on Ride Along franchise, three film versions of Hart’s stand-up shows, and Night School.
