The long-awaited Kingdom Hearts III debuted last week, and the new installment in the RPG video game series has already sold more than 5 million units globally, both physically and digitally, across all platforms.

This officially makes the Kingdom Hearts III the fastest-selling game in the Kingdom Hearts franchise history. The new game focuses on the theme of light versus darkness, as players follow a Keyblade wielder named Sora who travels through many worlds inspired by Disney and Pixar movies.

The game is performing well critically, too, with an 86/100 on Metacritic.
