Building with LEGO bricks can be calming — and now it can be a competition. The LEGO Group and Asmodee have partnered to create a line of board games for all builders, and the first game will be available this fall. You might recognize Asmodee from it’s Star Wars: Unlimited trading card game.
Monkey Palace is a jungle-themed strategy game featuring LEGO inventions — it was announced earlier this year, and it will be available to purchase on Oct. 3. In the game, players aim to re-build the Monkey Palace and compete for the highest brick income and points.
The companies have also created Dotted Games, a new studio that will remain dedicated to the collaboration and focus on developing LEGO-based board games for your next game night. Dotted Games is currently developing Brick Like This!, a party game for 2-8 players.
You can anticipate numerous games from this partnership, but you’ll have some time to complete your current LEGO sets until they’re revealed.
