The LEGO Group heard us say “Go big or go home,” and they’re not going home. The company’s newest LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series set has more than 9,000 pieces and features the most iconic space station in the series: the Death Star.
The building set combines elements of the Death Star seen in A New Hope and Return of the Jedi, including Emperor Palpatine’s throne room, the trash compactor, Princess Leia’s cell, the Imperial shuttle hangar, and more.

The set also comes with a whopping 38 minifigures, including two Luke Skywalker figures, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine, six stormtroopers, Imperial officers, and more. The LEGO Star Wars Death Star also includes a stormtrooper minifigure in a hot tub, a fun reference to the LEGO Star Wars video games.
The LEGO Star Wars Death Star Ultimate Collector Series set will be available for LEGO Insiders starting Oct. 1 at lego.com and at LEGO Stores, with full availability starting Oct. 4. Fans that buy the set from Oct. 1-7 will get the LEGO Star Wars TIE Fighter with Imperial Hangar Rack as a gift with purchase. LEGO Insiders can also redeem 5,000 points starting Oct. 1 for a limited-edition poster featuring the set.
