Agatha Christie fans, this one’s for you. Even if she didn’t come up with it herself, LEGO’s latest addition to its Ideas collection is the Orient Express, the international luxury train that ran through Europe to Istanbul from 1883-1977.

The LEGO Orient Express set was designed by Thomas Lajon, a 27-year-old LEGO fanatic from Paris. Lajon submitted the design to the LEGO Ideas program, where 10,000 people voted that it should be sold as an official set.

“I have always been a great fan of locomotives, sailing ships, and ocean liners,” Lajon says. “As a child, I collected everything related to them. Years later, my girlfriend encouraged me to get back in touch with LEGO bricks, and knowing my love for trains, she encouraged me to make one. Obviously, I chose to make the Orient Express. A sumptuous French train, at the heart of many stories.”

The Orient Express set has more than 2,500 pieces, which come together to make the locomotive, the tender, a dining car, and a sleeping car. The set also comes with eight minifigures including the conductor, a chef, staff, and passengers.

Mystery lovers, train enthusiasts, and LEGO collectors alike can agree that this set is a perfect addition to their house!
