Lucy Hale is back! Two years after Freeform’s Pretty Little Liars concluded, and one year after the cancellation of The CW‘s Life Sentence, Hale is gracing our TV screens again, this time as a character from Archie Comics. Hale was cast as the lead in The CW’s Riverdale spinoff Katy Keene, a musical series about four Archie Comics characters trying to chase their dreams in NYC.
Hale will play Katy, an aspiring fashion designer. The actress confirmed via Instagram and Twitter, and also Insta-storied the cartoon counterparts of the cast.

Ashleigh Murray will play a slightly older version of her Riverdale character Josie McCoy, Jonny Beauchamp will play drag performer Jorge/Ginger Lopez, and Julia Chan will play “it girl” Pepper Smith.
The show was created by Riverdale and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’s Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa alongside Michael Grassi.
