Prepare for the return of Skull Face, Horn Head, and Slobulus.

Madballs, the icky, gooey toys from the 1980s, are returning to shelves for the brand’s 40th anniversary. If you weren’t around in the ‘80s — or just need a refresher — Madballs are the eerie-looking rubber balls with intensely sculpted faces. These collectibles have been around here and there since their peak ‘80s popularity — see the collab with Garbage Pail Kids in 2021 — and additionally, have never left our nightmares dreams.

While some details aren’t available yet, we know that a core toy line featuring classic and brand-new characters will launch at 2,800 Walmart stores early next year, so start preparing your shopping carts and shelf space. The brand says it will keep the freaky look and even add additions like realistic synthetic hair.

’80s kids will have a blast from the past seeing these on store shelves again.
