Mattel has just signed a multi-year licensing deal with Amazon MGM Studios for the hit Netflix series Wednesday, meaning that plenty of dolls and collector sets will soon be available for fans of the Addams Family.
In 2024, Mattel will release Wednesday dolls and collector sets through its Monster High and Little People Collector properties respectively. These products will fuse the iconic characters from the show with Mattel’s cherished toys.
The Monster High and Little People Collector brands have a lot in common with Wednesday, with a finger on the pulse of social trends and a commitment to inclusivity. Plus, both Monster High and Wednesday center on high schools full of monsters and the supernatural, as well as chic fashion.
Wednesday follows Wednesday Addams’ misadventures as a student at the unique boarding school Nevermore Academy, marking the first time fans got to see the character as a teenager. Shortly after launching in Nov. 2022, Wednesday became the number one most-watched English-language series of all time on Netflix.
Mattel’s co-branded Wednesday dolls and collector sets are expected to be available in 2024 through the Wednesday storefront on Amazon and other retailers.
