When people say they watch Jurassic Park for the plot, the “plot” in question is really just Jeff Goldblum — more specifically the scene where an injured Dr. Ian Malcolm lays shirtless and brooding on a hospital bed. Yes, THAT scene.
If this isn’t true for everyone, it’s most certainly true for the designers over at Mattel Creations who have designed a posable figure depicting one of the most-memed scenes in Jurassic history. Allegedly, the designers “were so preoccupied with whether they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should.” Although in this case, we think isn’t a question of should, but rather a must!
Dr. Ian Malcolm and all his bare-chested glory comes encased in his much-anticipated “book,” God Creates Dinosaurs. The faux book opens to depict the famous scene as it appears in the movie, complete with mood lighting and sound effects, including eight Ian Malcolm quotes from the film. The bed Dr. Ian rests on acts as an activation button for these special features.
