Hold onto your butts! Mattel Creations is celebrating Jurassic Park’s 30th anniversary with an awe-inspiring crowdfund that will instantly transport you to Isla Nublar.
The crowdfunding campaign starts with the heavily fan-demanded motorized entry gates to Jurassic Park and the first-ever Ford Explorer No. 5. The gates stand more than 20 inches tall and have light and sound features as well, including flickering torches, the original movie theme music, and ambient jungle sounds.
If the campaign reaches 5,000 U.S.-based backers, the project will be officially funded and international fans can get in on the action. All backers will receive the motorized entrance gates and Ford Explorer No. 5. If the project is funded by July 11, everyone who backs the project will also receive a set of six Jurassic Park paddock signs.
At 6,000 backers, everyone unlocks two enclosure fences and the first collector-level, post-electrocution Tim figure. At 8,000 backers, fans will unlock the first-ever Hammond Collection “Buck” from The Lost World: Jurassic Park. Buck comes with glass eyes, proportionate feet, and a poseable rubber tongue.
Lastly, at 10,000 backers, the set will be complete with a collector-level Lex figure and the beloved goat… with a removable hind leg.
Back the project now at the Mattel Creations site for $250 by July 26 at 11:59 p.m. PT to relive an adventure 65 million years in the making.
