It’s a great time for football fans, as the NFL season is officially back in full swing! As we wait to see who will make it to Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas, fans can celebrate the beginning of the season with McFarlane Toys’ new NFL action figures. These new collectibles continue the company’s recently relaunched SportsPicks line.
The four players selected to be memorialized in 7-inch action figure form include some of the best of the best. They include Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs, Jalen Hurts of the Philadelphia Eagles, George Kittle of the San Francisco 49ers, and Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals. Each of the incredibly detailed figures comes with a branded backdrop and base.
Since being named the starting quarterback in 2018, Mahomes has proven himself to be a dominant force on the field. He has led the Chiefs to five consecutive AFC Championship Game appearances and two Super Bowl championships, most recently winning in last season’s big game. The Patrick Mahomes figure features the MVP with his hands in a hand-warmer and a grass stain on his knee. It also includes a removable sideline jacket that collectors can drape over his shoulders.
Quarterback Jalen Hurts had a breakout season in 2022, leading the Eagles to an appearance in Super Bowl LVII. Although he came up short of his ultimate goal, Hurts remains determined to lead his team to victory in the new season. This figure features Hurts in his white jersey with green pants and has small details such as the “C” for captain on his chest and his signature face paint.
George Kittle, the 49ers’ tight end, tied for third in the NFL in receiving touchdowns last year. The four-time Pro Bowler has also set several NFL records, such as most receiving yards in a half by a tight end, most receiving yards in first three seasons by a tight end, and first tight end to lead the league in yards after the catch. This figure features Kittle mid-action, running with the ball tucked away and his arm extended to stiff-arm a potential defender.
Last but not least, quarterback Joe Burrow was the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. In three seasons, he has led the Bengals to five postseason wins and an appearance in Super Bowl LVI. This figure features Burrow in the all-black Bengals uniform, dropping back in the pocket to deliver a pass to a potential receiver.
