Who says Christmas is the only holiday to get a gift? Netflix and Pokémon are working together to release a brand-new film that will premiere as a present to us all on Pokémon Day.

Pokémon: Mewtwo Strikes Back — Evolution follows Ash, Pikachu, and their friends as they’re mysteriously called to the world’s greatest Pokémon trainer’s remote fortress. Something feels off about the call, and the aspiring trainers quickly learn why in the trailer below. Check it out!

Mewtwo is on a quest for vengeance after being created and exploited by humans. “If weak humans are allowed to govern, the world is heading to ruin,” it explains of its desire to take over the world. Ash and his friends quickly become the center of Mewtwo’s rampage and have to work together to save everything.

The CGI-style animation is a new move for Pokémon and is inspired by one of the most popular stories in the Pokémon world.

The film premieres (almost) everywhere worldwide on Feb. 27 (sorry Japan and Korea) — only on Netflix.
