Missile Command is an Atari arcade classic, and now a whole new generation of gamers can experience the fire-power action in a new mobile game: Missile Command: Recharged.

Coinciding with the game’s 40th anniversary this June, the new mobile game is a 21st-Century reimagining of the game. Despite the upgraded graphics, the game’s premise stays the same: Players must defend their cities from an endless barrage of missiles by using well-timed (and well-aimed) counter missiles.

New functions for the game’s mobile iteration include online leaderboards, a power-up system for surviving longer, and an augmented-reality feature that projects gameplay into a virtual arcade cabinet.

The free game — you can pay to get rid of ads — is available to download now from both the App Store and Google Play. Are your counter-attack skills good enough? You’ll have to download the game and find out.
