You might never get a chance to play a competitive game of Quidditch, but you can play the next best thing: a competitive game of Monopoly: Harry Potter Edition.
This new edition of Monopoly features characters, places, and items from the Harry Potter series. Players can move across the board using the transportation-themed golden tokens: the Hogwarts Express, a Hippogriff, The Knight Bus, Hagrid’s Motorbike, a Thestral, and the Firebolt. After selecting a token, Harry Potter fans will draw a House Card to see if they’ll represent Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, or Ravenclaw. Each house has advantages and disadvantages that show throughout the game.
Of course, every tile on the board showcases one aspect of the Wizarding World. Hogwarts locations serve as the properties, and you’ll draw Owl Post cards instead of the basic Chance and Community Chest cards. Fans will recognize locations like Honeydukes, the Herbology Greenhouses, and the Quidditch Pitch. Players could also bump into Mrs. Norris and Filch and lose House Points.
Instead of Monopoly money, you win by receiving the most house points; exploring all of the locations in Hogwarts and Hogsmeade Village will help you gain points!
Monopoly: Harry Potter Edition is available at the link below for $39.99. Grab a warm cup of Butterbeer and get ready to earn (or lose) some House Points!
MONOPOLY: HARRY POTTER EDITION
Players are sorted into Hogwarts houses and win the game by earning house points. Hogwarts locations are properties, Owl Post Cards are Chance and Community Chest cards, and the tokens are transportation figures (like the Knight Bus and the Hogwarts Express) from the series.
