These days, nostalgia is the name of the game. And even things that seem fairly recent are up for grabs, including Monster High, the Mattel doll brand-slash-web series that became incredibly popular following its launch in 2010.
The original Monster High fans have aged by a decade or so, landing some of them in their late teens or early ’20s. Mattel has responded accordingly, launching high-end Monster High “Skullector” dolls on the Mattel Creations platform and partnering with Nickelodeon for a brand reboot that’s set to arrive later this year.
Now, the girls of Monster High have taken on yet another territory: The hallowed halls of Hot Topic! Yesterday, the iconic music and pop culture merch retailer released an apparel and accessories collection inspired by Monster High, including T-shirts, hoodies, and tank tops printed with characters and other imagery from the brand.
The highlight, however, is a selection of more stylized items, which include a plaid suspenders skirt decorated with the Monster High skull, a Frankie Stein cosplay dress, a Monster High argyle sweater, and corset-style tops inspired by Skullette and Draculaura. All of these pieces are available in plus-size styles, too.
Monster High devotees can shop this full collection now from hottopic.com and keep up with the latest Skullector releases at Mattel Creations.
