If you’ve set your sights on being a monster hunter — or if you’re looking for exclusive quests, armor, weapons, and more — the Monster Hunter Now Carnival 2024 Global event is here just in time.
For gamers who are unfamiliar with the app, Monster Hunter Now transforms the console video game into a real-life experience. Niantic, the company behind Pokémon GO, launched the app last fall.
In the app, players can battle different monsters in their neighborhood alone or in a group, gather materials, forge armor, and level up to unlock new items and experiences.Â
During the Monster Hunter Now Carnival 2024 Global, between Nov. 2 and 3, players worldwide can slay new monsters and participate in the Special Quests. During this event-exclusive journey, Monster Hunter Now aficionados can unlock several rewards, like discovering and battling Silver Rathalos and Gold Rathian; earning Nergigante, Silver Rathalos, and Gold Rathian materials; and joining Elder Dragon Interceptions that feature Nergigante.
Players can also collect, forge, and wear event-exclusive weapons and armor during the two-day period. The traits of these items change based on the difficulty (measured in stars) of the monsters you face, and you can only receive them through the Carnival. For hunters that played in Monster Hunter Now Carnival 2024: Shibuya, the forged, exclusive equipment and armor will still change based on the difficulty of the monsters you hunt.
During the Carnival, large monsters will also reappear on the field after 30 minutes, you can join Elder Dragon Interceptions and Hunt-a-thons at any time, and the access range in the field increases by 50%.
To join the hunt, you must purchase a ticket ($14.99) on the App Store, Google Play Store, in the in-game shop, or on the Web Store. Purchasing through the Web Store at monsterhunternow.com will provide you with 300 bonus Gems.
The event begins at 9 a.m. on Nov. 2, wherever you’re located, and ends on Nov. 3 at 11:59 p.m., so you have two days to collect the exclusives! As long as you’re HR 11 or above, you can participate.
If you’re not HR 11 just yet, you still have time — tickets are available until 9:59 p.m. on Nov. 3. That gives you approximately two hours to discover the exclusives. For fans of the console game, you can learn how to play the app version at monsterhunternow.com and take your hunting on the go!
