Picture this: lifeguards, but for Mountain Dew. Caffeine fans are about to unlock an epic summer hack. World, meet the Thirst Guards.Â
PepsiCo will make the Fourth of July party a little more convenient and a lot more Dew-y for fans in select cities. Thirst Guards will deliver on-demand Mountain Dew sodas to fans out celebrating the holiday weekend.
Country star Cole Swindell is the leader of the Thirst Guards. Best known for being a fan of the bubble green beverage, it makes sense that he is taking charge. Fans at key locations can text their location to 803-MTN-DEWS to receive an emergency delivery of ice-cold Mountain Dew. We are packing our Koozies now, please count us in.
Fans at Lake of the Ozarks will be in the center of it all, with Swindell distributing the special deliveries — all on a custom Mountain Dew boat playing his new album. We cannot think of a better way for a caffeinated country fan to spend their July 4th weekend. If you’re at Lake Travis, Texas; Miller Beach, Indiana; or Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, you can get in on the fun too, with beach stations packed with the Dew.
While we all wish we could be there, the Dew knows not everyone can. So, anyone who will not be able to make it to this iconic campaign can take part in a limited-edition merch line. Pit Viper is collaborating with PepsiCo to bring Dew-themed Pit Viper sunglasses to fans. Each pair will have an engraved Mountain Dew logo and hand-splattered paint, making each pair one-of-a-kind. These glasses will be available starting July 16, exclusively on TikTok Shop.Â
