Comic fans can celebrate female empowerment and diversity with the newest action figures from Boss Fight Studio!
The action figure manufacturer has inked a licensing deal with graphic novelist Edgardo Miranda-Rodriguez, creator of the graphic novel series La Borinqueña, to create action figures of the titular Afro-Puerto Rican heroine and other characters from the series.
La Borinqueña is an original superhero graphic novel series dedicated to philanthropic work in Puerto Rico, and it is part of the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Museum.
The deal, brokered by Fan Girl Consulting, kicks off with the 1:12-scale figures of the following characters: La Borinqueña, Luz, Oro El Coqui Dorado, and La Gargola. This deal is the latest addition to a diverse array of iconic brands featured on Boss Fight Studio’s portfolio including Flash Gordon, Zorro, Tarzan, Popeye the Sailorman, The Little Prince, and many more. The reveal was part of Boss Fight’s ongoing Boss Fest online fan event.
