With Star Wars Celebration Europe kicking off tomorrow, April 7, LEGO couldn’t wait to get in on the action and dropped three new LEGO Star Wars sets this week!
The Star Wars Ultimate Collector’s Series X-wing Starfighter building kit pays homage to one of the most iconic ships in the Star Wars universe (Other than the Millennium Falcon, of course). The X-wing set has almost 2,000 pieces and will be ready for any Imperial enemies you throw at it. It can be displayed with its wings open or closed and comes with Luke Skywalker and R2-D2 minifigures.
Even if you can’t believe that it has been 40 years since Star Wars: Return of the Jedi hit screens for the first time, there are two new diorama sets from the movie that will set off your nostalgia meter. Both sets will be available for preorder starting tomorrow, April 7, and they will hit stores on May 1.
The first takes fans to the forest moon of Endor with a diorama set of Luke, Leia, and a scout trooper zooming through the trees on speeder bikes. The set, which has more than 600 pieces, features the moon’s high treetops, two speeder bikes, and three minifigures. The Endor Speeder Chase set will cost $79.99.
You may resist the power of the dark side, but you can’t resist getting your hands on the Emperor’s Throne Room diorama. This diorama set has more than 800 pieces and shows off Darth Vader and Luke’s final battle. As their lightsabers cross in front of the Emperor, the fate of the galaxy is at hand. The set will cost $99.99 and also features a minifigure of Palpatine.
LEGO continues to make the most iconic Star Wars building sets, and this summer’s new additions are no different!
