In a different timeline, Star Wars fans would be gathered en masse as I type this, kicking off the first day of Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, California.
However, with this year’s convention canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all fans will — for the first time — have a chance to get their hands on Star Wars Celebration exclusive merch.
An online store containing all of the exclusives is on the way, and those who had tickets to attend Star Wars Celebration will get first dibs. Original event date ticket holders will get an email with how to activate their Star Wars Celebration Store account, and they can start accessing the store tomorrow, Aug. 28, at noon ET.
Then, the store will open up to the general public on Monday, Aug. 31, at noon ET.
The available exclusives (some pictured above) are wide-ranging — from a Tauntaun & Luke Skywalker plush and a Geeki Tikis AT-AT punch bowl to The Empire Strikes Back 40th-anniversary apparel and accessories. There’s even a BB-8 Avocado shirt, which is equal parts weird and fantastic.
Fans can visit shop.starwarscelebration.com to check out the full range of merch and do some window shopping before the items open to the public!
Oh, and don’t forget: There is another major Star Wars merch drop on the horizon. Target’s Trading Outpost Collection (inspired by Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge) will be available on Aug. 30 at 3 a.m. ET! Visit this starwars.com blog post to get a sneak peek at some of the new items coming in this line!
