Back in 2002, long before any fans were using the phrase “The Marvel Cinematic Universe,” Toybiz released the very first Marvel Legends collectibles, recreating popular characters from Marvel Comics.
Hasbro picked up the production of Marvel Legends after buying out Toybiz in 2006 and now, almost 20 years after it first debuted, the line is still putting out dozens of must-have collectibles each year, inspired by Marvel games, comics, movies, shows, and more.
To celebrate two decades of Marvel Legends, Hasbro is releasing a Marvel Legends Series 1 Captain America figure, which is inspired by the original Captain America Marvel Legends figure from 2002. The 6-inch-scale figure comes with a background for display and 14 accessories, including a swappable head and hands and the iconic Captain America shield.
The figure will officially be out next spring and will cost $31.49. Fans will be able to purchase this special anniversary collectible exclusively from fan channels, which will include sites like Entertainment Earth, Big Bad Toy Store, and Dorkside Toys.
