As most folks know, there is no Toy Fair New York (TFNY) this year.
The absence of The Toy Association’s BIG annual event at the Javits Center is forcing toy and game makers to get creative in how they’re revealing their new toys and collectibles for 2021 and how they’re connecting with both retail buyers and collectors. Leave it to Funko to be first out of the gate with Funko Fair, a nine-day replacement for TFNY in which the purveyors of pop culture are rolling out countless reveals across many brands and fandoms.
Funko Fair got underway today and in a special kickoff edition of FUN TV, Funko CEO Brian Mariotti and founder Mike Becker laid out the full plans for the event before hopping on the Fair’s Sneak Peek Ride for some day one reveals. Check out the highlights below, then be sure to check out this special content hub at Entertainment Earth to pick up new items as they’re revealed — in some cases hourly — through January 29!
