Game of Thrones Wikia
While we’re all awaiting the final series of Game of Thrones to premiere next year, here’s something to look forward to: Filming for the first GoT spin-off will begin in October.
The prequel will be shot at the Belfast Titanic Studios in Northern Ireland, the same location the original series has been filming at since 2010. It’s also the same place where the Superman prequel series Krypton and the latest Obi-Wan Kenobi spin-off in the Star Wars universe will film next year.
With a working title of “The Long Night,” the prequel will take place thousands of years before events seen in the main series. The project’s logline reads, “Only one thing is for sure: from the horrifying secrets of Westeros’ history to the true origin of the White Walkers, the mysteries of the East to the Starks of legend… it’s not the story we think we know.”
We may have a lot of waiting to do, but the ball is officially rolling with much more GoT content coming and more prequels in the works, and we are here for it.
