Ghostbusters: Afterlife isn’t slated to hit the big screen until November, but fans of the Ghostbusters movie franchise got a lot of exciting news today! Not only is there an official trailer for the upcoming sequel, but Hasbro also debuted a bunch of new toys and collectibles that will hit retail this fall when the Ecto-1 races back to theaters.
Most of today’s product reveals were geared toward younger Ghostbusters enthusiasts (including an R/C ghost trap, a series of Fright Feature Figures for ages 4 and up, and a seriously adorable Mini-Puft NERF blaster), but some of the new products are must-have for fans of any age.
For collectors, the biggest news is the official lineup of Ghostbusters Afterlife Plasma Series figures. Priced at $24.99 each, these figures include the next generation of Ghostbusters who are featured in Afterlife: Trevor, Podcast, Lucky, and Pheobe. The wave rounds out with some familiar faces (pictured, top): Peter, Winston, and Ray, who are back in their Ghostbusting gear! This wave of Plasma figures also comes with build-a-figure pieces for a Sentinel Terror Dog.
There is a new Clue: Ghostbusters Edition game coming soon to Hasbro Pulse and major retailers, too. In this new take on a game-night classic, players are racing to a mysterious farmhouse in the Ecto-1 to solve mysteries and bust ghosts! As they move to new locations, players narrow down the possibilities to deduce who the leader is, how to trap it, and where it will appear. The game also has Paranormal cards, which let players team up to battle a ghost or get closer to the truth. This game features artwork directly from Ghostbusters: Afterlife and will cost $20.99.
