If you’ve put off getting an Xbox Series X but have your sites set on Halo Infinite, today’s your lucky day.
Today, as part of GamesCom, 343 Industries and Microsoft revealed a release date for the highly anticipated next installment in the Halo video game series: Dec. 8, for Xbox and PC. To accompany this announcement, there is also a new look at the game’s multiplayer season one cinematic intro available on the Halo YouTube channel.
Players can officially preorder Halo: Infinite now, but that’s not all. For those who want to go all-in on their Halo gaming, there is a new Xbox Series X Halo Infinite Limited Edition Bundle (pictured top). Celebrating 20 years of Halo, this set costs $549.99 and includes a Series X console featuring a custom design with stars — as seen from the surface of Zeta Halo — that extend onto the fan behind a blue vent inspired by Cortana. The bundle also includes a matching, Halo Infinite-inspired wireless controller; an HDMI cable; and (of course) a game download of Halo Infinite. The bundle is available to preorder now, with a release date of Nov. 15.
For players who already have a Series X console, there is a separate Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 — Halo Infinite Limited Edition. It will also launch on Nov. 15 but is available to preorder now for $119.99. With a design inspired by the Master Chief, this controller is made for extended play — it has 40 hours of rechargeable battery life and endless customization options.
