Even though the 4th of July is still a couple days away, Hasbro is getting into the spirit of the holiday!

The G.I. Joe team officially revealed its first Classified Series HasLab project, a G.I. Joe Classified Series Cobra H.I.S.S Tank. At today’s YO JOE! June fanstream on Hasbro Pulse’s YouTube channel, the new addition to the Classified Series debuted with an animated video featuring the Cobra Commander.

The G.I. Joe Classified Series Cobra H.I.S.S. Tank is filled with details that reflect the epic history of the G.I. Joe franchise. This new tank includes a multitude of cool features, such as battery-powered interior and exterior lighting, functioning wheels, an elaborately detailed command cockpit interior, a gull-wing canopy, a rear cargo bay, an articulated turret with posable cannon accessories, a removable engine cover detail, a removable armor plating skirt, and extendable cockpit boarding ladders. The H.I.S.S. tank also comes with a Cobra H.I.S.S. driver action figure with premium detailing and articulation.

Because the H.I.S.S. Tank is part of Hasbro’s HasLab series, 8,000 fans must fund the new project (for $299 each) before August 15 in order for the product to get produced. Once the campaign moves into the production phase, Hasbro estimates that the tanks will ship out next fall.

Hasbro is also offering an “Early Bird Special” for this project. If the tank is fully funded before Wednesday, July 6, all project backers will also receive an exclusive G.I. Joe Classified Series Cobra HISS Tactician figure.
