Now this is what happens when fans go digging for information before it’s formally revealed.
For the past few months, fans of Hasbro‘s long-running Marvel Legends series thought they were about to get a Deadpool roleplay item. The rumors started when information from retail systems surfaced and began circulating — a common occurrence that has often presented early hints of items, such as Star Wars helmets and Infinity Gauntlets. This time? Totally different.
Fans who thought they might be able to purchase a wearable Deadpool mask were surprised to find out during a Hasbro Pulse livestream that the rumored item is actually Deadpool’s Head! That’s right, in a presentation hosted by Marvel‘s C. B. Cebulski and Ryan Penagos, the company unveiled a new, Deadpool-themed wave of its popular 6-inch scale Marvel Legends series action figures and a “premium interactive head.”

Deadpool’s Head includes more than 600 lines of dialogue and expressive movement. The collectible toy for Marvel fans ages 18 and up is enhanced with a companion app for iOS and Android devices and reacts to light, sound, and motion. It can even sense certain “scenarios,” such as being placed in a cold refrigerator.
While not voiced by actor Ryan Reynolds, the tone and inflection are certainly inspired by the popular pair of feature films that starred the former Van Wilder as the famed “Merc with a Mouth.”
Deadpool’s Head will be available to preorder on Hasbro’s direct-to-consumer Hasbro Pulse platform beginning at 12:01 a.m. ET on June 17, a date newly Christened as “Wadey Wednesday,” the Deadpool holiday. It will also be available to preorder from mass and specialty retailers in the coming days.
