female gamers

Did you know that female gamers make up 55% of the global gaming market, have a higher retention rate, and are 79% more likely to make in-app purchases?

That’s why MegaFans, a mobile gaming and esports startup, is choosing to focus on underserved gamers as its business model, according to a press release the company published today.

Earlier this year, MegaFans co-founder Jeff Donnelley discussed the purchasing power of female gamers in a blog post. The post encourages mobile game publishers to market their products to female gamers, not just the traditional male gamer, and argues that female players need better representation in esports.

Check out the blog post here, and stay keep watching MegaFans for new games and inclusive initiatives.
