It’s been 20 years since the first live-action Scooby-Doo film hit theaters, so it’s only fitting that the gang’s iconic Mystery Machine is making a comeback. Matthew Lillard, who played Shaggy in the movie, is celebrating its anniversary by inviting fans to stay the night in the beloved van, which has been remodeled as an Airbnb destination in Malibu, California.
Up to two guests per night will be immersed in all things Scooby-Doo. The van comes with all-you-can-eat snacks (including Shaggy and Scooby’s favorite foods, like hot dogs and eggplant burgers), mystery games to put your whodunit skills to the test, and a TV for a rewatch of Scooby-Doo — complete with candy, popcorn, and Scooby Snacks.
As part of the Y2K experience, fans can listen to throwbacks from 2002 on a portable CD player, don Shaggy’s signature puka shell necklace, and bask in the glow of a lava lamp. The Mystery Machine also includes an open, outdoor setup with a hammock space and lounge seating for fans to chill and groove it out. And yes, there’s wi-fi, too.
Upon arrival, guests will be virtually welcomed by Matthew himself, who may just share some of his favorite memories with the meddling kids.
A lucky few fans can book their stay in the Mystery Machine at airbnb.com starting on June 16 at 1 p.m. ET. There will be three, one-night stays available on June 24, 25, and 26 for $20 a night.
