The wait is nearly over — Get ready for a new challenging adventure in the magical land of Hyrule!

After years of teasers, the newest addition to Nintendo’s iconic The Legend of Zelda video game franchise is set to release on May 12. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom continues the story from where players left off in the highly successful The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Fans can preorder the game now in its digital version, but a physical Collector’s Deluxe Edition will also be available. It’s packed with must-have exclusives, offering players a SteelBook game case, an art book, a pin set with four badges, and an ICONSQUARE poster for $129.99.

Along with the game, Nintendo is releasing a new amiibo, featuring the game’s courageous protagonist, Link. The figurine is more than another dazzling piece to add to your collection — Buying the amiibo gives players exclusive access to helpful in-game extras. By tapping the figurine on the NFC touchpoint of any compatible console (Nintendo Switch system, New Nintendo 2DS XL system, New Nintendo 3DS XL system, or Wii U), you can receive special weapons and materials to help make the gaming experience even more epic! The figurine is based off of a life-sized Link statue displayed at Nintendo Live last year.

Gamers can also use previously released amiibo figurines, including the Link (Rider) to add new fabrics to Link’s paraglider in the game.

The amiibo is available to preorder now for $15.99 and will release the same day as Tears of the Kingdom.
