D’oh! Get ready to travel to the suburban land of Springfield with Super7’s new The Simpsons Ultimates! figures.
This highly anticipated first wave of figures is inspired by fan-favorite The Simpsons episodes, including “Deep Space Homer,” “Itchy & Scratchy Land,” and “The Itchy & Scratchy & Poochie Show.”
Each 7-inch scale action figure is made-to-order and features a variety of interchangeable parts and iconic accessories, packaged in a window box designed to look like the show’s opening sequence. There are six sets to choose from, starting with Deep Space Homer. This figure depicts the donut-loving man himself, dressed in a spacesuit and featuring a bag of potato chips. He has three interchangeable heads (one of them mid-gulp, of course) and two pairs of gloved hands.
There is also Moe in his classic bar outfit, with his rag and his red telephone. He comes with a panda in a box, suggesting that the panda smuggling business in the back of his bar may still be alive and well. For Itchy & Scratchy fans, Robot Itchy and Robot Scratchy (sold separately) carry their various robotic weapons for their terrifying attempts to kill each other. And, finally, Poochie is available with his purple surfboard and turquoise electric guitar. He sports cut-off shorts and white sunglasses, ready for an outrageously good time.
The Simpsons Ultimates! Wave 1 is available to preorder from super7.com and Entertainment Earth until Sept. 20 and is expected to ship by next summer. The figures retail individually for $55, but fans can also purchase the full line for $275. As Homer would say, woo hoo!
