The lovable, titular alien from Steven Spielberg‘s E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982) is coming home in a new way.
Fanhome will unveil its lifelike, E.T. build-up model kit at New York Comic Con (NYCC) this week in booth No. 4108.
E.T. stands more than 2 feet tall and was created in partnership with the family of Carlo Rambaldi, the Italian designer who created the original character for the film. The build-up model is crafted of metal and ABS plastic parts and includes easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions and all the tools required to complete the build. Subscribers receive regular installments spanning 110 building stages. Each shipment includes parts alongside magazines that feature details about E.T.
Once completed, E.T. features an LED light-up index finger and heart light in addition to articulated arms and an extendable neck. E.T. also features moveable eyes and facial expressions and built-in sensors — a first in a Fanhome model kit — and a remote control can activate numerous functions, including audio clips featuring quotes from the film.
If you can’t wait to start building an E.T. of your own, head over to Fanhome and preorder the first installment today!
