The original six Avengers have figuratively, and now literally, cemented themselves in pop culture history.
Yesterday afternoon, Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), and Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) — along with producer Kevin Feige — added their handprints and signatures to the TLC Chinese Theater’s iconic Forecourt of Stars.
Check out the seven cement blocks below, which also include a symbol corresponding to each actor’s superhero alter-ego. Based on the blocks’ unique shapes, it looks like the seven pieces will go together to form a square, presumably with the Avengers logo in the center.
During the ceremony, Ruffalo impressed fans by doing a handstand as he imprinted his hands.
Evans’ practice handprints also got some traction on Twitter, because he fell into the classic blunder of not leaving quite enough space to fit all the letters. Fortunately, he fixed the issue for his official print.
