Patrick Stewart

There’s been a lot of buzz lately for CBS‘ upcoming Star Trek: Picard series, and it’s only increasing. Today, startrek.com unveiled the first image: an official poster for the series. In the new sci-fi series, Sir Patrick Stewart stars as Jean-Luc Picard, a character he played for seven seasons on Star Trek: Next Generation. Picard will follow the character into the next chapter of his life.

If you’re playing catch up, Picard will be produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment. Alex Kurtzman, Michael Chabon, Akiva Goldsman, James Duff, Patrick Stewart, Heather Kadin, Rod Roddenberry, and Trevor Roth will serve as executive producers, and Chabon will serve as showrunner. Secret Hideout’s Aaron Baiers will serve as co-executive producer with Kirsten Beyer as supervising producer.
