The Toon Turtles are back! | Source: Playmates Toys

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) have been roaming toy departments for decades, and now a popular sub-line from 1993 is back at the Bullseye.

Playmates Toys has reissued the Classic Toon Turtles as an action figure 4-pack that’s available exclusively at Target. The line is unique in that the Toon Turtles were action figures that actually looked like the characters from the popular cartoon series.

For this new set, Playmates is serving up a collection of 6-inch TMNT figures that come on vintage-style cardbacks with vibrant artwork, and all four arrive nestled into a TV set-style box. Plus, you can’t go wrong with such an affordable price (just $49.99!), so if you want ’em, you better scoop ’em up before the scalpers spring into action.

Toon Leonardo comes with his mighty Toon Katana blades while Toon Raph is armed with his Toon Sais. Toon Donnie comes ready to rock with Toon Bo staffs while Toon Mikey comes in swinging with Toon Nunchuks. Additionally, each turtle comes with a trio of accessories, including a Toon Television, Toon Turtle Pizza Disc, and Turtle Communicator.

You need this, don’t you? | Source: Playmates Toys

At this point, TMNT could easily stand for “Too Many Ninja Turtles” since so many companies have the license and that can make collecting choices difficult. At the end of the day, you just can’t go wrong with the classics from the company that was there in the beginning, Playmates Toys.

Now, who wants some pizza?
