On Pokémon Day, The Pokémon Co. held a “Pokémon Presents” online event, giving trainers worldwide a first look at upcoming Pokémon content, including some behind-the-scenes peeks of new episodes of Pokémon Concierge, which was released on Netflix in 2023.
New episodes are slated for a September release, and fans who don’t have a Netflix subscription can watch the previously released episodes on the official Pokémon YouTube channel from now through March 9, so get ready to feel the cozy summer vibes with these binge-able episodes.
The presentation also unveiled updates and more for Pokémon GO, Pokémon Masters EX, Pokémon Café Remix, and Pokémon Unite. Each game will have feature events with new characters. Suicune, Alolan Raichu, and Alcremie will join Pokémon Unite‘s roster; while Flapple and Appletun will come to the Pokémon Cafe Remix team. Fans of Pokémon GO are preparing for the GO Tour: Unova – Global event, where players will be able to do research and encounter legendary Pokémon Victini and Shiny Meloetta.
Next, fans of the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) were shown a new Mega Evolution Series that will come to the physical card game sometime this year, as well as new Triumphant Light-themed packs on the Pokémon TCG Pocket app to celebrate 100 million downloads. Players can go on the app from today until April 29 to receive free special booster packs that are guaranteed to include one card of a level four rarity or higher. Special Missions in Pokémon TCG Pocket will also be available from now until March 26.
For Spanish-speaking and multilingual fans, future games and TCG packs will soon be available in Latin American Spanish, increasing the total number of available languages to 10. And, a brand-new mobile battling component to the main series, Pokémon Champions, will allow Trainers to bring their favorites from Pokémon HOME into the app to test their battling skills. The game is currently in development, with no set release date at this time.

While all of these updates will entice Pokémon fans, there was one in particular they were most anticipating: New details on the upcoming main series title, Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Launching later this year on the Nintendo Switch family of systems, the game will take place in the Kalos region, more specifically focusing on Lumiose City and its urban development plan to make it a place where people and Pokémon can coexist peacefully. Wild Zones will be installed throughout the area, and trainers can catch Pokémon with their starter tagging along for the journey, whether they choose Chikorita, Totodile, or Tepig.
Players may recognize some familiar faces along their journey and discover new friends who will join the journey. As expected, Mega Evolution will be coming back for this title, and with the new battle mechanics, fans are going to experience the phenomenon in a whole new way.
